Sirupsvafler

Lagde de her sirupsvafflan. Syns egentlig ikke det blei så veldig vellykka. Prøvevaffla va best. Etterpå klarte æ å brenne sirupen. Deigen hevde dessuten ikke, og va altfor klisjat til å rulle nåkka balla. Oppskrifta under ga ca 3 hele plater. Sidn det e en deig og ikke ei røra, så måtte æ legge en klatt i hvert hjerte.

 Ingredients

  • The biscuit
  • 250 grams plain flour
  • 125 grams soft butter
  • 75 grams caster sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 25 grams fresh yeast
  • A little lukewarm water (for yeast)
  • The syrup
  • 200 grams molasses
  • 125 grams brown sugar
  • 100 grams butter
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Directions

  1. Mix the flour, soft butter, caster sugar and the egg.
  2. Dissolve the yeast in lukewarm water and add to the mixture.
  3. Add some salt, divide into 40 gram balls and let rest in a warm spot for 1 hour.
  4. Mix the molasses, brown sugar and butter into a saucepan and heat until runny, then add the ground cinnamon.
  5. Put your dough balls in a hot pre-heated waffle iron for approximately 40 seconds.
  6. Place your biscuit on a board and cut them horizontally in half. This sounds hard but the yeast will have an air bubble so it should be easy to do with some practice...
  7. Take 1 half of your biscuit and apply the syrup. Be careful because you need to do this when the biscuit is still hot otherwise they will break!
  8. Reunite the top and bottom of your biscuit and you are done.
